Episode 4 - Reelin' in the Years 10/20/02 Written by: Laurence Andries Directed by: Bobby Roth Transcript Tipped off by a third strike felon looking to avoid a lifetime behind bars, Detectives Stevens and Smith end a 26-year-old manhunt for the cop-killer "Chimera" - who along with fellow anti-capitalist radicals stormed a Los Angeles bank, killing the partner of famed detective Paul Turcotte. The sudden resurgence of the case forces officer Turcotte to rehash his childhood memories of the shooting and the effect it had on his father. The arrest validates Andrea's five year struggle to free Kevin Van Horn, the unwitting accomplice originally convicted for the slaying as well as bring to light the first encounter between the Tribune reporter and DDA McNorris.
